They have a very unique jewel-like prismatic effect which has to be seen to be believed. Whilst other glitter products may appear more like bright specks, our products instead create a rainbow-like effect very much like jewels and precious stones.

Magic Sparkles and Magic Twinkles are essentially the same product, the only difference is that Magic Twinkles are much finer. However Magic Sparkles were invented first, which is why the original brand name is Magic Sparkles.

Yes! Unlike other food glitters, Magic Sparkles and Magic Twinkles are 100% edible as they are made of maltodextrin. They are biodegradable, suitable for vegans and GM free. But remember, being fully edible means that they are better suited to dry applications.

Simply sprinkle on! If you would like them to stick to a specific surface you can apply edible glue, trex or apply them ‘as is’ on a slightly tacky surface. Remember, as they are made from fully edible food products, they will dissolve upon contact with excess moisture and wet surfaces just as they do in your tummy.

You can use them on nearly any food item as long as it has a relatively dry surface. Besides cakes and cupcakes, we have seen Magic Sparkles being used on chocolates, popcorn, pies, waffles, biscuits, sweets and even on cocktail / champagne glass rims.

Yes! Our products are certified by The Vegan Society as being suitable for vegan diets.

Our products are gluten-aware which means that whilst we do not use any ingredients that contain gluten, we are not formally certified as gluten-free.

Simply sprinkle them onto your food.

To apply to fondant you can just sprinkle them straight on, or if you prefer use edible glue or a very fine water mist spray prior to application. For buttercream, let it set for a bit then sprinkle on. See next question if you wish to apply to a certain area.

To apply them to a specific area, you can paint on a thin layer of edible glue. However, make sure you let it get tacky before sprinkling on the flakes.

Our natural colours range is made from natural plant-based colourings, whereas our traditional colours range uses EU-approved artificial colourings.

They are both. Magic Sparkles are small flakes whereas Magic Twinkles are more like jewel glitter. Both of the products give off a unique holographic rainbow effect, very much like jewels and crystals.

No – Magic Sparkles and Magic Twinkles are completely tasteless, so they will not interfere with the taste of your creations.

No – Magic Sparkles and Magic Twinkles are completely odourless, so they will not interfere with the smell of your creations.

Magic Twinkles are relatively new and right now we only make our best-selling colours in Magic Twinkles. If you really want a specific colour you can always buy it in Magic Sparkles and grind it down yourself.

Because the Twinkles are much finer, we add double the amount in each pot. So, in a 3 gram pot of Magic Sparkles you’ll get 5 grams of Magic Twinkles.
